Investing in the Future of Healthcare

The Arkansas Association for Healthcare Engineering, Inc. (AAHE) is proud to support students pursuing higher education through the Arch Gilchrist, Curt Belin, and Past President Scholarship Program.

These scholarships provide educational assistance to eligible students pursuing degrees or professional training in healthcare and health-related fields.

Annual application window: October 1–December 31

Eligibility

Scholarships are available to:

  • AAHE Principal Members, Senior Members, Fellows, and Members Emeritus
  • Immediate family members of eligible AAHE members, including children and grandchildren
  • Arkansas residents or students whose qualifying AAHE family member is employed in Arkansas
  • Students pursuing or planning to pursue higher education in a healthcare or health-related field

Applicants may be asked to verify AAHE membership, family relationship, Arkansas residency, enrollment status, or the Arkansas employment of the qualifying family member.

Selection Criteria

Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee appointed by the AAHE Board of Directors. Applications are evaluated based on:

  • Academic achievement
  • Extracurricular and community involvement
  • Honors and awards
  • Leadership potential
  • Moral character
  • Career goals and ambitions
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Likelihood of successfully completing the proposed course of study

Application Requirements

Applicants should be prepared to provide:

  • Academic and educational background
  • The name of the college, university, or educational institution they plan to attend
  • Intended field of study and career goals
  • References or recommendations from teachers or other appropriate individuals
  • A personal statement
  • A statement describing financial need
  • Any additional supporting documentation requested in the application

Incomplete or late applications may not be considered.

Important Dates

  • Applications open: October 1
  • Application deadline: December 31
  • Recipient recognition: AAHE Annual Awards Banquet at the Spring Seminar in April

Scholarship award amounts vary annually and are determined by the availability of scholarship funds.

Apply for an AAHE Scholarship

The online application will be available each year from October 1 through December 31. Applicants are encouraged to begin early and allow sufficient time to gather references and supporting materials.
