Membership Options

Principal Member — $65

Designed for healthcare engineering professionals who:

Are directly employed (not contract or consulting) by an Arkansas healthcare facility
Work at a facility affiliated with the Arkansas Hospital Association
Hold responsibility for operations, maintenance, facilities, biomedical/clinical equipment, safety, or radiology equipment

Principal Member privileges include:

Full voting rights
Eligibility to hold elected office
Eligibility to serve on the Board of Directors
Ability to serve on and chair committees
Attendance at all AAHE meetings (general, committee, and Board)
Full participation in AAHE education, events, and professional networking

Associate Member — $75

Designed for professionals with an interest in healthcare engineering who do not meet Principal Member eligibility, including:

Healthcare engineering professionals employed outside Arkansas
Former Principal Members who have relocated or changed roles
Maintenance supervisors or staff at non–AHA-affiliated healthcare facilities
Consultants, contractors, or third-party hospital workers
Professionals in related industries supporting healthcare engineering

Associate Member privileges include:

Access to AAHE education, events, and networking
Attendance at meetings and conferences
Ability to serve on and chair committees

Please note: Associate Members do not have voting rights and are not eligible to hold elected office.

Educator / Student Member — $25

Available to:

Full-time educators teaching disciplines related to healthcare engineering
College students enrolled in coursework related to healthcare engineering

Educator/Student Member privileges include:

Voting rights
Participation in AAHE programs and events
Ability to serve on committees (excluding the Scholarship Committee)

Please note: Educator/Student Members may not hold elected office.

Emeritus Member — $0

Available to retired Principal Members of distinction. Emeritus Members:

Are approved through a written request and Board review
Retain full voting privileges
May serve on committees

Honorary Member — $0

An honorary designation recognizing exceptional service, leadership, or professional distinction. Honorary Membership:

Is awarded by the Association and is not application-based
Recognizes individuals whose longevity and contributions have significantly advanced AAHE and the healthcare engineering profession
Requires nomination and approval by the Executive Board
Includes full voting and leadership privileges
Does not require payment of annual dues or registration fees
